The ICU at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital is a 24 bed general ICU. In addition to fellow staff, the RN will experience incredible support from the Unit Nurse Educator, Unit Coordinator, and RN Manager. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program. If you are seeking a fast paced, team based care environment- 3East is the place for you!
The patient population on this unit may include: sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis.

Nurses manage critically ill patients that require intensive hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, multiple drug infusions, IABP therapy and CRRT.
